New Corporate Identity Positions Diagnostic HYBRIDS’ Brand For Future Growth

March 10, 2006
ATHENS, Ohio – Diagnostic HYBRIDS, Inc., a bioscience company that provides cellular and molecular diagnostic kits and biochemical reagents to companies worldwide, unveiled to employees today its new corporate identity package.

The identity builds on the established and trusted brand recognition associated with Diagnostic HYBRIDS since it was founded in 1983 as an Ohio University start-up. Healthcare providers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Korea and China depend on the results from Diagnostic Hybrids’ accurate, rapid and cost-effective tests for proper diagnoses of a wide range of viral diseases.

“Our new theme, ‘Integrating Science and Humanity,’ aptly encompasses the philosophy of Diagnostic Hybrids,” said David Scholl, president and CEO. “Bioscience is a dynamic industry, and our products will continue to grow and evolve as biotechnology and clinical science dictates. The new identity builds on our strong reputation for innovation and service and fits very well with our broadened expectation of accelerated growth along dual paths.”

The logo, which visually merges humanity with DNA and monoclonal antibody technology, creates a personality with a contemporary, global image that mirrors the company’s growing business prowess reflected in the achievement of repeat Inc. 500 Magazine listings for 2004 and 2005. The final identity establishes an emotional link with all stakeholders and is driven in the design by the hybridization of the human spirit with innovative and proprietary cell biology and molecular diagnostic tools.

The strong positioning theme, “Integrating Science and Humanity,” demonstrates the company’s noble cause and profound, global effect it has on society and humankind. It also refers to the talented employees of Diagnostic HYBRIDS, who explore, create, produce and distribute world-class products for the global marketplace from the rural, scenic Appalachian foothills of Athens, Ohio.

“Our employees take great pride in knowing their collective skills and talents directly impact people’s current and future well-being,” Scholl said. “Ultimately, every single individual at Diagnostic Hybrids strives to improve the health of people around the world. Our new corporate identity celebrates all of our core values and personifies Diagnostic HYBRIDS and its employees as optimistic, innovative, robust, customer-focused and looking forward to a bright future.”

Paul Werth Associates, a Columbus-based public relations, marketing and advertising firm, developed the corporate identity package. In addition, Paul Werth created corporate recruitment materials and other marketing pieces that tell the story of Diagnostic HYBRIDS.
