FreshCells™ Plated Primary Animal Hepatocyte Monolayer Cultures
FreshCells™ Plated Animal Hepatocytes are available on a made-to-order basis. Our goal is to deliver your product within two weeks of order placement; however, liver availability and cell yield can impact delivery dates. We will be in close contact during production to keep you updated on the status of your order. When your order is shipped, we will provide donor information and post-purification cell viability. Following shipment, we will provide results of a functional metabolic assay on a retained sample from your lot.
FreshCells™ monolayers are produced from donor tissue harvested via surgical perfusion of the liver with a preservation and transport medium, followed by enzymatic digestion, isolation, and purification of primary hepatocytes on a Percoll™ gradient. Cells are plated in William's E medium (with 10% serum) at densities sufficient to ensure successful monolayer formation, and shipped directly to your facility to arrive the following day – a 48-hour turnaround from initial harvest to your lab bench.
